You know when someone levels up their life in some way
and you hear another person say the following about them:
“Ooh aren’t they so lucky“, whilst turning a lovely shade
of green to emphasise their happiness for that individual
As if to imply they don’t have this intangible luck they speak of,
which they would have you believe in their life, being bestowed
with good luck is as likely as a pig flying past their window on a
hot summers day.
It’s a lazy observation…
…and it usually only applies to lottery winners and people
that inherit a fortune.
Sure, luck comes into play in life to an extent, but you
know one thing that beats waiting around for luck?
WORKING HARD consistently doing the right things…
What are the right things, you may be wondering.
They’re the things that will move the needle for you
and they come in the form of income-producing activities
Here are a few examples:
- Building Your List
- Creating New Content & Sharing It With Your Audience
- Making New Connections In Your Niche
- Writing follow-ups and broadcasting to your list (i.e. your newsletter)
- Split testing your landing pages for conversions
That is by no means an exhaustive list and just intended
to get your mind thinking more along the right lines.
A good work ethic focusing on income producing activities
will trump anyone waiting for a big slice of lady
luck to fall from the sky and land in their lap.
The harder you work, the luckier you will get.
And the same thing applies to your online business.
All these people that habitually put other people’s
success down to them just being ‘lucky’ do not see
the following:
- They don’t see the other persons sacrifice to achieve their goal.
- They don’t see them putting in extra hours of work
- No-one sees you getting stuff done while other people are watching Netflix
and chilling. - They don’t see you putting all the foundations in place or the part
where your efforts haven’t yet hit paydirt. - They don’t have the vision or consistency to do what is necessary
to make big things happen.
Factor in the relaxation in your life, but if you
want more luck, put the work in and it won’t be long
before people are calling you ‘LUCKY’
If you’re treating your online business like a part-time gig,
then you’re going to get part-time results.
How badly do you want it my friend?
Bad enough for you to be the one people are calling ‘lucky’?
If you do, then as Britney Spears once said to all those
that weren’t born with a silver-spoon in their mouths:
“You better work, bitch!“
